Wedding Party
We are honored to celebrate with these wonderful people by our sides.
Maid of Honor
Cian ⚘
Cian and I used to take the same bus to college but we did not officially become friends until our senior year. She is one of the smartest people I know and the reason why I did not fail my maternity class. Despite my constant pestering for help, she still decided to befriend me. That said, I honestly don’t think Cian would ever say no to making a new friend. She’s the nicest and sweetest person I know. Sometimes I think she might just be an angel instead of a person. Cian is always on the move, picking up new hobbies and because of her infectious personality and her extreme extroversion, she is part of many friend groups. I feel very lucky to have her be a part of mine and to have her as my maid of honor.
Best (Wo)Man
Kristen ⋈
Kristen and I met back in high school in Ms Nicol’s Intro to Computer Science class. Through high school we went to a bunch of concerts together and stayed close even after she moved away for college. During COVID we spent a ton of time together playing games and watching movies together and keeping each other sane. Even when our communications take a lull when life gets complex, every time we come back together it’s just like no time had passed at all. Now Alina and I always take an annual trip in the beginning of fall to visit them, but in 2027 looks like they’ll be coming up to see us for this! She is truly someone I could not imagine living without.
Bridesmaids
Monica ⚘
My most fashionable friend. I also met Monica during nursing school. I used to admire Monica from a far during one of our lab classes and I would think to myself “I’ve never actually seen someone successfully pull off wearing a beret in person”. Monica might seem timid but secretly she enjoys living on the edge. No one is more willing to go down a dark and spooky alley or to ride the most petrifying roller coaster imaginable. But in spite of her enjoyment of possibly dangerous activities, Monica is extremely fun to be around. She’s smart, funny and witty, there is never a dull moment around her.
Jennifer ⚘
Monica’s older sister and Jessica’s fraternal twin. I briefly met Jennifer in college when she would hang around Monica. But I did not get to really get to know her until we started meeting after college as a group. Jennifer is a very caring and supportive sister and friend. When any of us are too shy to stand up about something, Jennifer never hesitates to step in. She’s very dependable and I always feel more relaxed having her around. She is also very funny at unexpected times which makes any situation even more hilarious. Jennifer is a joy to be with and I love to watch her dynamic with her sisters.
Jessica ⚘
Monica’s older sister and Jennifer’s fraternal twin. Jessica is oftentimes the voice of reason in our friend group. She is also the only one of us who is not a nurse. She instead chose the computer science route. We often compare the two careers and talk about which one is worse. Jessica is wise beyond her years and I always love to listen to her opinions on the current state of the world. Jessica is open minded, honest and always willing to listen. She’s a pleasure to around and I’m glad to be able to call her my friend.
Groomsmen
Adam ⋈
Adam and I have know each other since we were 5 years old way back in Ms Viggiano’s afternoon kindergarten class. Without question, he is one of my longest and closest friends. Over 22 years of friendship we’ve had countless sleepovers and late night game sessions, and he has always been so eager to indulge Alina and my spiral into owning too many board games and giving us an excuse to play more of them. I’ve gone to the same school as Adam functionally my entire life, through elementary school, middle school, high school, community college, and university... and now we work together, our desks only 30 feet apart. He’s always been a constant in my life.
Kevin ⋈
Believe it or not, I think I met Kevin just a couple of minutes before I met Adam. It should be no surprise then with his inclusion as one of my groomsmen, that we have maintained that friendship these past 22 years ever since Kindergarten. The more I think about it, Kevin has been one of the most consistent friends I have had all my life through high school, but while we may have drifted slightly apart after college I like to think we have since come back together to the point of flourishing. He has thoroughly indulged me in our shared love for the card game Magic: The Gathering and is always quick to share the new cards he finds and listen when I want to do the same. That is, when we’re not gathered with the others playing games late into the night!
Keegan ⋈
Of the four members of my groomsmen, as my cousin, I’ve known Keegan since he was born. Once he moved to the other side of town from my childhood home, he, my sister Emily, and I spent nearly every day together as kids, especially over summer where we would go to Myya and Grandpa’s house every Wednesday, grab some McDonald’s and go swimming. Some of my most foundational memories playing games, hanging out, and going to the beach are with Keegan. I cannot remember what he looked like before he grew his hair out.
